THE U16 COACHES
Richard Lynett

u16 Head Coach
Richard started playing football aged 13 for the Southampton Seahawks as QB before moving to the Eastleigh Royals and then onto the Bournemouth Bobcats where he spent 3 seasons playing QB and was selected for GB. Richard joined the Seahawks Coaching Team in 2023 and has become a key member of the u16 set up, taking the reigns for the 2026 season

Coach Gavin joined the team in 2019 having successfully created a local Flag Football Team, the South Coast Spitfires. With a career in the game that spans 4 decades, includes multiple National Championships as both a player and a Coach, Gavin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. He has also coached both the u17 & u19 Great Britain Teams.

Coach Nick has been a football fan for 25+ years and has played at all levels of Britball, from Uni Ball to Adult and represented Great Britain at both contact and flag. Nick has also several years coaching experience with the Southampton Stags and Chiltern Cheetahs.
With a solid background in football Nick will bring all of his defensive knowledge and experience to the team

Coach Tony has been coaching the South Coast Spitfires Flag Team for the past few years and has now bought those skills to the contact game.
With a solid background in football Tony has a lot to pass on to the players and will be an asset to the team for many years as his Coaching knowledge continues to grow expand.

Having grown up in Florida James’ initial focus was soccer before he later took up football. James holds a BAFA Level 1 and UEFA B Licence and is currently completing his BSc in Psychology with Sport. Still a student he plays football as a Defensive Back for the Solent Redhawks and when his youngest son joined the Solent Seahawks U16s, James stepped up to help coach the defense backs and has made an immediate impact.

Gavin Hart

Dan Hall
Offensive Co-ordinator
Coach Dan has played for both the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts and more recently the University of Southampton Stags were he lent his talents to O-Line, D-Line and Fullback. Dan joined the Seahawks towards the end of the 2025 season.
We are excited to see what Coach Dan can do to build on a succesful first year that saw us reach the National Semi Final

Josh Woolfrey
Defensive Co-ordinator
A standout defensive player at the University of Southampton Stags for 5 years, followed by a year with the Solent Thrashers, Josh fills the previously vacant Defensive Coordinator role and brings a new philosophy to the Defense and we are looking forward to seeing this play out on the field in 2026 and beyond.

Rob Davey
Special Teams Co-ordinator
Rob started his football journey with the Seahawks in 2019 and has been a loyal Seahawk since. After graduating from the Seahawks, Rob went on to the University of Nottingham playing for both the Green and Gold squads before joining the Solent Thrashers.
Rob also brings his experience as a qualified Sports Physiotherapist, helping keep our athletes on the field.

Kaffe Locke
Defensive Backs Coach
Kaffe initially started playing at the Bournemouth Bobcats Youth and followed up with 3 1/2 years playing and coaching BUCS ball at the University of Chichester Spitfires. He will bring his knowledge and experience of coaching Defensive Backs for the Seahawks and we look forward to seeing how Kaffe and Josh can develop the defensive side of the team going forward.

Murray Boyle
General Assistant
A previous Seahawks Alumni, Murray returns to the Seahawks as an General Assistant. After playing O Line for the University of Southampton Stags, Murray will be working closely with Dan Hall to strengthen our O Line.
It’s always great to see Seahawks alumni giving back to the team and we are pleased that Murray has returned to us to begin his Coaching career.

With his experience of setting up a team from scratch, we look forward to seeing the team grow under his direction

As an ex-cheerleader, wife to the Head Coach and mother to two Seahawks players, Selina has been around football most of her life.
Combining that football background with her business managenent experience, Selina is the perfect Game Day Manager allowing both the players and coaches to focus on the game. us with great support on the sideline knowing that she and her team has everything else under control.

I'm part of a strong team responsible for developing and selling club merchandise. We help to deliver a strong sense of community and Seahawks family.
On game day, it’s all about bringing the supporters together, wearing the team colors with pride, and making sure our support is seen, felt, and heard. All money raised goes directly towards supporting and developing the club.

A football fanatic since the 80’s, his playing career with Boston Blitz was cut short due to injury, after which he took on the role of statistician and later sat in the committee of the BNGL. Recently Kev was a part of the original Solent Seahawks Academy Flag Team before becoming a co-founder and integral part of the success of the Solent RedStorm Flag Team.
